GROUP7 has been operating its new logistics center in Schwaig at Munich Airport since the beginning of the year. The modern multi-user center with a total area of 60,000 square meters has already integrated its first customers. The new building also offers space for future growth.
Technological equipment for efficient processes
The site is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure smooth processes. An in-house warehouse management and merchandise management system enables fast and transparent order processing. This is supplemented by a warehouse management system and driverless transport systems.
Another central component is the GROUP7 Control Tower - a self-developed, AI-supported platform. This collects and analyzes real-time data in order to optimize the entire supply chain. This enables efficient shipment consolidation and ensures optimal processes through intelligent process control. Modern order and shipment tracking offers continuous real-time tracking from order receipt to delivery.
Flexible use of space and sustainable logistics solutions
The multi-user center offers a high level of flexibility in the use of space to meet individual customer requirements. Special storage areas with WGK 3 space are available for water-polluting substances.
Sustainability plays a central role for the company. Energy-efficient technologies help to reduce the consumption of resources and support environmentally friendly logistics processes.
Broad range of services
GROUP7 offers a comprehensive portfolio of logistics services that are individually tailored to the customer's requirements. These include incoming goods and quality controls, flexible storage solutions in shelving, small parts and block warehouses - including for seasonal items - as well as customized picking processes and the packaging and finishing of goods.
The range of services also includes production logistics, including the assembly of finished products from various components, as well as efficient complaints and returns management. The range is supplemented by individual value-added services according to customer requirements and optimized ramp management for smooth loading and unloading processes.
A significant step for GROUP7
With the opening of the new multi-user center, GROUP7 is setting another milestone in the logistics industry. “By combining state-of-the-art technology, flexible space and customized services, we can offer our customers a unique logistics experience,” says Hubert Borghoff, Head of Logistics at GROUP7. “We are looking forward to actively shaping the future of logistics with our new location.”
